Valentino names new North America CEO

Valentino has tapped its new North American leader who will actually be coming from Asia. Gianfranco Ditadi, Tod's regional business manager in China, will join Valentino North America as president and CEO at the end of this month. The news was first reported by WWD.
In addition to his time at Tod's, Ditadi has also held stints at Ralph Lauren and Prada Group Asia. He has a strong background in luxury that will prove beneficial to Valentino's growth. He will be replacing Sandra Jovicic who left the company in September.
In 2012 investment group Mayhoola, which also has controlling stake in Balmain, purchased controlling stake in Valentino. Since then, the company has been working on expanding internationally. Pierpaolo Piccioli currently serves as the brand's creative director.
